Sue for thoughts!

I was listening to the radio (you know, that thing which video supposedly killed some thirty years ago) and heard on the news last week that some people are complaining about Google. More specifically, about the fact that they dominate advertising on the internet. There are even talks of sueing Google over this...

So, I have to ask: what's wrong with this picture?

I also heard (this piece was on TV) of a guy who became an overnight millionaire just by wearing a different T-shirt every day and sitting daily in front of his webcam showing it off on his Facebook page. Wow. Wish I'd thought of that! Maybe I should sue him.

The point is, Google came up with some great ideas and that's what got them this far. They didn't get there by whining or sueing others. Just good old creativity, with some good sense and a bit of luck (the "being at the right place at the right time" kind).

Mind you, I'm not saying Google is perfect. They've often (and not without reason) been criticized for their privacy policies. But let's be fair, here. Those who are unhappy with them should consider coming up with their own original ideas and concepts rather than griping. And maybe they can be the next big thing on the internet... and have others complain about THEM!

And if this ever does go to trial, I just hope the judge gets a good laugh out of it.
